Why we work the way we do
The small business web market has two ends and almost nothing in the middle.
At one end are agencies quoting $15,000 for a brochure site, most of which pays for account managers, a downtown lease and a discovery process that produces a slide deck. At the other end are $500 template builds and DIY platforms that look acceptable on day one and are quietly invisible in search by month six.
The businesses in the middle — a plumbing company with eight vans, a law firm with three partners, a manufacturer with forty employees — need genuinely custom work and cannot justify agency pricing for it. That is who WebMyst exists for.
The monthly model follows from that. Spreading the build cost across a subscription means a business can have a properly engineered site without a five-figure check, and it aligns our incentives with yours: we only keep the revenue if the site keeps earning its place.
What we actually do
One thing, done properly: custom websites for small businesses, on a single monthly plan.
That plan covers design and development, on‑page SEO, hosting, security, speed work and a build that is genuinely responsive on every device — for $50 a month with no upfront development fee. It is sized for a one to five page site, which is what most small businesses actually need.
The same plan covers the jobs a website needs over the rest of its life: redesigns, migrations from another host or platform, speed work, accessibility fixes and ongoing care. Anything larger than five pages, or with custom functionality behind it, is quoted per project with a fixed written price before it starts.
We are deliberately not a four-discipline agency. A team that sells websites, software and AI out of the same brochure is spreading itself thinly across all three, and the small business buying a website pays for that in attention.
Where we are based, and why it does not matter much
We are in Phoenix, Arizona, and our deepest local knowledge is the Valley — Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and the rest of Maricopa County. We work with clients in all 50 states.
We do not run a walk-in office, and that is a deliberate cost decision rather than an oversight. The saving goes into the price. Everything that matters — discovery, design review, testing, launch — happens over video and shared links, and works better that way because there is a written record of every decision.
Things we will tell you that most agencies will not
- You own everything. Domain, hosting, content, code. If you leave, we export it and help you move it. No exit fee.
- Sometimes you should not hire us. If a $16-a-month builder genuinely covers what you need, we will say so on the first call.
- SEO takes months, not weeks. Anyone promising first-page rankings in thirty days is either lying or planning to rank you for your own company name.
- A website will not fix a business problem. If the phone is not ringing because the offer is wrong, a redesign will not help and we will tell you that instead of taking the money.
How to check us out
Do the same three checks we would recommend for any agency, including ours. Open this site on your phone and time how long it takes to become usable. Look at whether the pricing is published with real numbers rather than "starting from". Ask us for a client to call, and then call them.
