Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what WebMyst Technologies (“WebMyst”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It describes this site specifically rather than restating a template, so if something is not listed here, we are not doing it.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our contact form, and nothing else that identifies you.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. We run no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags and no cross-site trackers.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information. There is no circumstance in which we would.
- We use your details to reply to you and to do the work you hire us for.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, your business name if you provide one, and whatever you write in the message field. The form also records which page you submitted it from, because knowing that a request came from the HVAC page rather than the home page changes how we reply.
If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence for as long as we are working together and for a reasonable period afterward, for the ordinary reason that business records are worth keeping.
Information collected automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs: the IP address that made the request, the page requested, the time, and the browser user-agent string. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. They are not connected to form submissions and are not used to build a profile of you.
This site runs its own page cache rather than a third-party caching service. The cache stores rendered copies of pages, not visitor data, and it is bypassed entirely for anyone who is logged in or who has just submitted a form.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie-equivalent of its own: a browser localStorage entry recording whether you chose light or dark mode, so your choice survives a page reload. It contains the single word light or dark and nothing else, it never leaves your browser, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
A session cookie is set if you log in to the administration area of this site. Visitors who never log in are never issued one.
Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. These record a randomly generated identifier, the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. They do not record your name, your email address or anything you typed into the contact form, and we have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features or remarketing on the property. Blocking cookies for this site, or using any of the common tracker-blocking extensions, prevents it entirely and changes nothing else about how the site works.
What we do not do
- No Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no advertising or remarketing scripts. Google Analytics 4 is the only third-party script on the site, and it is there to count reading, not to follow you around the internet.
- No fonts or images loaded from third-party CDNs — every asset on this site is served from our own domain.
- No session recording, heatmaps or scroll tracking.
- No selling, renting, licensing or sharing of your information with data brokers or marketing lists.
Who we share information with
Only where it is necessary to run the business, and only with providers who process it on our behalf:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
- Our email provider, which delivers the notification when you submit the form and carries our reply to you.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose something.
If we ever add a service that processes your personal information, this page is updated before it goes live rather than afterward.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for two years from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Client records are kept for seven years after the engagement ends, which is the ordinary retention period for business and tax records in the United States. Server logs are rotated within 30 days.
You can ask us to delete your inquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Email info@webmyst.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this and we will not ask you why.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you a specific right to know what is collected and to request deletion, and a right not to be discriminated against for exercising it. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined in the CCPA. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you equivalent rights plus the right to data portability and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited on the server, stored in the site database, and emailed to us. Administrative access is restricted and protected by strong credentials. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly and directly if a breach affects your information rather than burying it in a notice.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so plainly at the top of the page rather than relying on you to compare versions.
